Baby feeding bibs come in either soft cotton or food-grade silicon and, depending on the bib, include features such as a built-in pocket to catch food, an adjustable neck strap, absorbent fabric or waterproof material. Bibs come in many different styles but are mainly defined by which problem they solve: feeding mess or drool excess.

At My Little Wardrobe, you can choose between the classic blue baby boy bibs or pink baby girl bibs. We also have gender-neutral colours such as green, black and yellow. Some bibs even include a matching headband for extra cuteness!

Whatever your budget or preference, My Little Wardrobe has a bib that will suit your needs. We ship outside of Australia to New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada, and more. So what are you waiting for? Browse our collection today!

Are Bandana Bibs Good for Newborns?

Bandana bibs are a must for newborns because they are lightweight and can be worn comfortably at all times to stop babies from drooling on themselves.

The main purpose of a bandana bib is to protect your baby’s skin from irritation by keeping it dry. Your little angel won't be eating baby food until about six months old. So, until then, they'll only be having liquids - which is why you won't need a feeding bib yet.

They also help to keep off all the snot, tears and everything else. It clips on or off easily, which is ideal because you will be constantly changing the baby's clothes at this age.

What Age Are Bandana Bibs For?

Bandana bibs are suitable for babies from newborn up until two years old. As mentioned above, babies need a bandana bib from zero to six months because of their liquid diet. After that, you'll need to buy a feeding bib to go with it.

The role of the bandana bib changes slightly after six months old when your child begins teething. Instead of wiping away milk, you'll be using the bib to wipe away drool. This is why it's important to choose a bib with absorbent material.

What's the Difference Between Dribble Bibs and Normal Bibs?

Dribble bibs (or bandana bibs) are smaller than normal (feeding) bibs and have a triangular shape.

They are small enough that they won't drag on the floor when your child crawls and can therefore be worn outside of eating times. They are also made from absorbent materials such as cotton, which helps to soak up any moisture.

'Normal' bibs, on the other hand, are designed to keep food off your baby's clothes (and your floor) during feeding time. They are usually much larger than dribble bibs and made from waterproof materials so that you can wipe off any remains. Some feeding bibs even include a pocket to catch falling food.

What Makes a Bib Waterproof?

A waterproof bib is ideal for when your little one starts eating thicker foods. Waterproof bibs are easy to clean because you can simply wipe them down after each meal. They are made from either food-grade silicone or a combination of child-safe polyurethane and cotton.

What Are Baby Silicone Bibs?

Baby silicone bibs are made from a soft, flexible material that is easy to clean and maintain. Silicone bibs are perfect for protecting your baby's clothes from spills and stains during mealtime.

One of the main benefits of using silicone feeding bibs is that they are extremely durable and long-lasting. Unlike cloth bibs that can easily tear or become stained, silicone bibs can be used over and over again. Plus, they are dishwasher safe which makes cleaning up after mealtime a breeze.

Another great thing about silicone bibs is that they are designed to catch any food or liquids that may spill out of your baby's mouth. This means less mess for you to clean up! Plus, the bibs are adjustable and come with a built-in pocket that catches any dropped food, making mealtime less stressful for both you and your little one.

Are Baby Silicone Bibs Easy to Put On and Keep On?

Yes, baby silicone bibs are designed to be easy to put on and keep on. They typically fasten with a snap or velcro closure, making it simple to secure the bib around your baby's neck. Additionally, the adjustable neck size means that you can achieve a comfortable fit for your baby, ensuring that the bib stays in place during mealtime.

Silicone bibs are also designed to be lightweight and flexible, which means that they won't weigh down your baby's neck or feel restrictive. Light bibs like these can be especially important for younger babies who are still learning to sit up and control their head movements.

What Are the Benefits of Plastic Bibs?

Similar but not quite the same as silicone feeding bibs, plastic bibs are a popular choice for parents of young children, and there are several benefits to using them. They’re lightweight, easy-to-clean and can simply be wiped down with a cloth or rinsed under the tap after use, making them a convenient option for parents who are short on time.

Additionally, plastic bibs come in a variety of fun and colourful designs, which can help to make mealtime more enjoyable for your little one. Some plastic bibs also feature catch-all pockets that can help to reduce mess and make cleaning up easier – you can’t lose!
